FREA Solutions is currently installing a new RAS system at Kærhede Dambrug for producing rainbow trout. The system is sized to produce 300 MT per year and consists of a new invention, where both production and purging takes place in the same race-way. This means that the fish do not need to be moved before purging, which results in less weight loss and higher yield for the production.
The system is also designed with a focus on minimizing the footprint, as both biofilters and degassing is integrated into the same module. This means a significant reduction of the area used for water treatment.
